Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale, an American basketball player for the Dallas Wings in the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a player for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college, before being drafted as the fifth pick overall by the Wings during the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale, born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2 1997, was the daughter of Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale is her 26-year-old brother and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years of age. As the youngest sister, she got the attention of her parents. Gregory was her father. He was serving in the Nigerian Army quite a while. Ogunbowale hails from a dynamic family. Her mother Yolanda was a softball player for DePaul and her brother Dare has a career in football. Her aunt was a volleyball player at UAPB as was the cousin Endia Oliver also plays volleyball in Tennessee State. Ogunbowale is on the school honour roll for the past three years. Alongside her fame, she has received various awards from her education. Arike completed her high school graduation at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School situated in her hometown. As a student at the school, she also played three years of varsity football. Ogunbowale's extraordinary abilities helped her school capturing stunning victories numerous times. Her high school experience included 73 games, 1,477 career points, and 739 career rebounds. Ogunbowale played in the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships 2014 World Championships of FIBA U17 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships where she won gold medals. She was named to the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team 7 July 2014. Ogunbowale is also selected on the ACC All-Freshman Team after her debut collegiate season. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for a number of important shots at the NCCA Tournament. While still relatively new Ogunbowale has already established herself as an exceptional basketball player, and she is bound to continue on her path.
